We are a Trauma Aware School. Our school offer supports all children with their emotional well-being and ensures a specific focus on supporting vulnerable learners. Our approach is centred on Attachment Theory and Neuroscience awareness, enabling staff to support and understand children’s emotional regulation and behaviour.
We have a teacher in school who is designated to support children who are in care or who have been adopted. She is the trauma and attachment specialist in school and also fulfils the role of Mental Health First Aider. Staff are fully trained to support families and children with sensitivity and compassion.
